Why Pray For Others?

WHY PRAY FOR OTHERS:

Praying for others brings healing and restoration in lives.

“Confess to one another therefore your faults and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored..” James 5:16

When you pray for others, it makes a powerful difference.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much” James 5:16b

Praying for someone is a display of the love of God towards them.

“Andit will be that before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear” Isaiah 65:24

“But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

God hears our prayers for others.

“But certainly God has heard me; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.” Psalm 66:19

When you pray for others, it brings delight to God.

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight!” Proverbs 15:8

We are commanded to Love others, and Love requires that we are not concerned with only ourselves.

“The second greatest commandment is this, ‘YOU MUST LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF..” Mark 12:31a

When you pray for others, it releases blessings for you.

“After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10
